Automated Personal Dosimetry System
Polimaster PoliRead Automated Personal Dosimetry System
Polimaster PoliRead Automated Personal Dosimetry System
The PoliRead Automated Personal Dosimetry System, supplied by J3Seven, is a complete software platform for collecting, storing and analysing radiation dose data from electronic personal dosimeters. It helps radiation safety officers and health physics teams maintain accurate, auditable exposure records across medical, nuclear, industrial and security environments.
PoliRead brings together a Windows-based Software Reader for local data collection and configuration, and central Server Software for secure dose management and reporting. Together they automate routine dose read-out tasks, reduce manual handling of data and support compliance with occupational radiation protection requirements.
Why Organisations Choose PoliRead
End-to-end dose data management: PoliRead streamlines everything from reading individual dosimeters at a workstation to storing and reporting exposure data for an entire organisation.
Supports large fleets of dosimeters: The system is designed to integrate thousands of dosimeters and hundreds of reader stations, making it suitable for hospitals, nuclear sites, border security agencies and large industrial facilities.
Compatible with Polimaster dosimeters: PoliRead works with RadFlash and PoliSimeter devices, allowing users to centralise data from existing Polimaster fleets without changing hardware.
Flexible deployment: The server can be hosted on-premises or in the cloud, giving IT and radiation safety teams options that align with their security and infrastructure policies.
Customisable database structure: A hierarchical database lets you organise workers, departments and locations to match your organisational chart, making it easier to filter results and generate targeted reports.
Role-based security: Three levels of password-protected access help ensure that only authorised personnel can view, modify or administer occupational dose records.
Simple roll-out and configuration: A dongle-based installation and user-friendly interface help minimise set-up time and training requirements for local dose readers.
PoliRead Components
PoliRead Software Reader (Windows PC): Installed on a Windows 10 PC, the Reader communicates with dosimeters at the point of issue or return, retrieves dose histories and applies configuration changes. Communication with PoliSimeter dosimeters is via USB, while RadFlash dosimeters connect via Bluetooth. The Reader then forwards data securely to the PoliRead Server over Ethernet or Wi‑Fi.
PoliRead Server Software: The Server application receives, stores and processes dose data from multiple Reader stations into a central database. It supports local or cloud deployment, configurable thresholds for individuals and groups, and a range of export and reporting options for regulatory and internal reporting.
