Snowbird SAWG Series Atmospheric Water Generators
The Snowbird SAWG Series is a range of atmospheric water generators designed to produce potable water directly from ambient air in demanding field and expeditionary environments. The range includes the SAWG 14, SAWG 28 and SAWG 150, providing scalable water production from compact portable systems through to a high capacity trailer mounted solution.
Depending on the model, the SAWG Series can produce approximately 53 to 568 litres of potable water per day. Each atmospheric water generator combines multi stage filtration, UV C purification and ozone treatment. In addition, the systems provide integrated water storage, continuous operation and direct water dispensing for field use.
Key benefits
- Water from ambient air: Produces potable water directly from atmospheric moisture, reducing dependence on conventional water sources.

- Wide operating range: The systems operate from approximately 7 °C to 51.7 °C and across humidity levels from 30% to 99%.
- Flexible configurations: SAWG 14 and SAWG 28 use a compact two person carry format, while SAWG 150 provides a trailer mounted high capacity solution.
Typical applications
- Remote and expeditionary operations where conventional water infrastructure is unavailable.
- Field deployments that require an independent source of potable water.
- Emergency response operations where water supply may be disrupted or difficult to transport.
- Temporary operating locations requiring scalable water production.
- Sustained field operations that require higher capacity potable water generation.
- Locations where atmospheric moisture and rainwater can supplement traditional water supply arrangements.
How atmospheric water generation works
Air intake
First, the system draws ambient air through the air inlet. Moisture within the incoming air provides the source for water production.
Water generation
Next, the atmospheric water generator extracts moisture from the air and converts it into collected water for treatment and storage.
Filtration
The system then passes the collected water through its filtration process. SAWG 14 and SAWG 28 use a reusable sediment pre filter and multi stage filtration system.
UV C purification
UV C treatment provides an additional purification stage before storage and dispensing. For higher capacity requirements, SAWG 150 uses two independent filtration systems and two UV C purification chambers.
Ozone treatment
In addition, the systems use ozone treatment to support water quality. SAWG 14 and SAWG 28 incorporate an ozone generator, while SAWG 150 uses an ozone treatment recirculating system.
Water storage and dispensing
Finally, the system stores treated water internally and makes it available through two distribution taps. Integrated rainwater collection provides an additional source of water across the range.

Filtration and water treatment
The SAWG Series combines multiple treatment stages to support potable water production from atmospheric moisture. First, filtration removes sediment and other material from the collected water. UV C purification then provides an additional treatment stage before storage and dispensing.
SAWG 14 and SAWG 28 use a reusable sediment pre filter, multi stage filtration and UV C purification. In addition, an ozone generator supports ongoing water treatment.
For higher capacity operations, SAWG 150 uses two independent filtration systems and two UV C purification chambers. An ozone treatment recirculating system provides additional treatment within the larger system.
