Rapid Bio-Threat Assay System
ENVI Assay System
ENVI Assay System
A compact “lab‑in‑a‑box” providing disposable lateral‑flow immunoassays for seven priority bio threats: SEB, ricin, botulinum toxin A, Bacillus anthracis, pox virus, Francisella tularensis, Yersinia pestis. Each kit includes all tools to collect, prepare and test air, soil, powders, liquids or surfaces, with Positive/Negative results in 15–20 minutes—no special training or extra collection kits required. A work‑bench style, water‑resistant package keeps tools organised for gloved use.
Why teams choose this system
- Field practical: simple collect–dilute–mix–dose steps; no special training; high throughput in PPE.
- Complete in one box: test cassettes, swabs, buffer vials with filter caps, and instructions—10 single‑packed tests/kit.
- Sensitivity & specificity: agent‑specific limits down to 5–13 ng/mL for toxins; no cross‑reactivity with 18–23 common interferents.
- Works with BioScout samples: solubilised filters from BioScout can be tested directly or sent for PCR confirmation.
How it works
A gold‑labelled antibody binds the target; the complex migrates along the strip to a capture antibody that draws a visible test line, with an internal control line ensuring validity. It’s a proven immunochromatographic lateral‑flow method optimised for field conditions.
Technical data
- Package size: 10 tests/kit; contents: 10× test cassettes, swabs, buffer vials with filter caps, short instructions, package insert.
- Targets (7): SEB, ricin, botulinum A, B. anthracis, pox virus, F. tularensis, Y. pestis.
- Sample types: air, soil, powders, liquids, surfaces. Response: 15–20 min.
- Sensitivity (LoD examples): SEB 13 ng/mL; ricin 5 ng/mL; botulinum A 10 ng/mL; B. anthracis 10⁵ spores/mL; pox 3.5 × 10⁴ CID50/mL; F. tularensis 5 × 10⁵ cells/mL; Y. pestis 10⁵ cells/mL.
- Specificity: no cross‑reactivity against common interferents (e.g., NaCl, talc, yeast, flours, soils, cleaning agents).
Typical applications
Law enforcement, CBRN units, mail security, customs & border, airport screening, private security, and mobile labs; also deployable within EnviScreen monitoring architectures.
FAQs
Time to result?
15–20 minutes per cartridge.
Do we need a separate collection kit?
No, the kit includes swabs and buffer vials with filter caps.
Can we test BioScout filters?
Yes, solubilised samples from BioScout’s filter cassette can be applied directly.
