Chemical Identifier GC/MS
Griffin G510
Griffin G510
The Griffin G510 is a person‑portable GC/MS built to deliver confirmatory chemical identification in minutes—on scene, not back at the lab. It analyses vapours, liquids and solids via an integrated heated sample probe and syringe injector. The instrument separates complex mixtures by gas chromatography, then identifies trace‑level components by mass spectrometry using an on‑board library of > 270,000 chemicals. A large touchscreen and Method Selector Wizard guide the operator through sampling and decision‑making. The system has been validated to detect A‑series (Novichok) agents and is used for narcotics, CWAs, explosives, TICs and environmental pollutants.
In independent testing under the DHS SAVER programme, the G510 received the best overall rating across usability, deployability, maintainability and capability.
