Mobile Spectroscopic Radiation Portal Monitor

RanidPort

A movable portal monitor for vehicles, vessels, aircraft or fixed entry points. Uses a large‑volume NaI(Tl) spectrometer with neutron capability to detect and identify sources at speed. Web‑based control, mapping/history, and full reach back streamline operations. Housing can be camouflaged to blend with the surroundings.

Why teams choose it
  • Low false alarms: continuous spectroscopic analysis with automatic energy stabilisation; neutron channel rejects gamma cross‑sensitivity.
  • Flexible power & comms: AC, vehicle DC, or battery; Ethernet/Wi‑Fi/optional 4G; built‑in GPS.
  • Operator‑friendly UI with nuclide ID, spectrogram, dose, database, ANSI N42.42 export.
How it works

A high‑volume NaI(Tl) detector (≈ 102 × 102 × 406 mm crystal) acquires spectra while the system stabilises gain in real time; a neutron channel monitors 5–8 MeV gamma region for neutron interactions. Alarms/IDs and track logs are available on the web UI and for reach back.
