Fixed Chemical Detector
ChemProX-DS
ChemProX-DS
ChemProX‑DS is a fixed chemical detector that works stand‑alone or as a CBRN system node. It pairs 24/7 CWA/TIC monitoring with a local colour display that can show full system status (connected detectors, alarms, faults and trend lines), giving operators system‑level situational awareness at a glance. With Modbus TCP/IP & RTU, Ethernet/RS‑485, digital/relay I/O and current loops, it integrates cleanly with BMS/IPMS and legacy Bertin Environics networks. No routine calibration is required; a built‑in configuration tool, chemical database, NFPA‑704 hazard diamond and embedded SOPs streamline commissioning and maintenance.
Why teams choose ChemProX‑DS
- System awareness: See detector status, alarms, faults and trend lines (e.g., rising chemical levels) before thresholds trip.
- From node to hub: Connect radiation/biological detectors and share their status through the same UI; export to BMS/IPMS.
- Proven, orthogonal sensing: Open‑loop IMS with additional sensors for sensitivity and false‑alarm rejection.
- Built for service life: IP65 enclosure; tested to MIL‑STD‑810H (shock/vibration) and MIL‑STD‑461G (EMC); marine‑class standards (IACS UR E10 / DNV‑CG‑0339).
Key specifications
- Detection technology: Orthogonal detection—open‑loop (aspirated) IMS, semiconductor sensors; under‑exemption Ni‑63 (90 MBq) source for IMS. CWA, TIC modes.
- Flow rate: 1.3 L per minute continuous sampling.
- User interface: 3.5‑inch colour LCD with 3 buttons; configurable to show local or system status.
- Connectivity: 3× Ethernet, 2× RS‑485, 1× RS‑485/422; Modbus TCP/IP and Modbus RTU. Digital I/O (5 DO + 4 DI), 4× relays (NC/NO, 24 V DC/2 A), 3× 0–20 mA loops; 12 V/5 W and 2× 24 V/15 W outputs; heated sample‑line connector.
- Power: 12–33 V DC, compliant with MIL‑STD‑1275E (vehicle power).
- Size / mass / material: 255 × 230 × 80 mm, ≈ 2.5 kg, powder‑coated aluminium (RAL7035).
- Environmental: –32 °C to +55 °C operating; –46 °C to +85 °C storage; 0–95% RH (non‑condensing); IP65 dust/water resistance.
Applications
- Vessels (surface ships, submarines’ habitable areas/ducts)
- Armoured & light CBRN reconnaissance vehicles
- Critical‑infrastructure monitoring (transport hubs, stadia, corporate campuses)
- Industrial vapour monitoring (ducts, rooms, outdoor enclosures).
Options & accessories
Heated sampling lines (air‑duct/outdoor), external alarm units (light bar), Remote Unit (RU), UPS/external power supplies, and RTU modules for expanded connectivity.
FAQs
Can it act as a “mini C2” for CBRN sensors?
Yes, connect other detectors and see combined status on the ChemProX‑DS display; forward to BMS/IPMS over Modbus.
What maintenance is required?
No routine calibration; use the built‑in configuration tool, database, NFPA‑704 and embedded procedures for commissioning and confidence checks.
How rugged is the unit?
IP65, MIL‑STD‑810H shock/vibration; MIL‑STD‑461G EMC; IACS UR E10/DNV‑CG‑0339 for marine; –32 °C to +55 °C operation.
