Narcotic Detection Kit
SERS Kit
SERS Kit
The Serstech SERS Kit pairs with Arx mkII to amplify Raman signals from dark‑coloured or very dilute mixtures, reducing fluorescence and lowering detection limits to ≈ 200 ppm for many substances. It enables confident field ID of “street‑quality” narcotics (including heroin and fentanyl variants) that are otherwise difficult with conventional Raman.
Why teams add the SERS Kit
- Detect what standard Raman misses: SERS surfaces boost weak signals and mitigate fluorescence.
- Designed for field use: Disposable SERS plates and pre‑filled sample‑prep bottles keep workflows simple; plates supplied in packs of 20 or 100.
- Portable, self‑powered adapter: Compact head runs on a primary lithium cell for ≈ 300 measurements.
Key specifications
- Detection limit: down to 200 ppm (substance‑dependent).
- Adapter size / mass: 39 × 44 mm, 67 g; ≈ 905 g including case & accessories.
- Power: LS14250 3.6 V primary lithium (LiSOCl₂), ~ 300 measurements per battery.
- In the box (starter): Adapter, 5 × sample‑prep bottles (methanol, 3 mL), 5 × disposable SERS plates, Allen key, quick‑start guide. (Methanol shipping subject to local regs.)
Typical applications
Rapid ID of cut/low‑purity narcotics (fentanyl class, heroin, methamphetamine, ketamine, cocaine, amphetamine), dark dyes/pigments, and samples where fluorescence overwhelms standard Raman.
How it’s used
- Add a small extract of the sample into the pre‑filled bottle, shake.
- Apply a drop onto a disposable SERS plate and allow brief settling.
- Present the plate to Arx mkII with the SERS adapter; acquire spectrum and confirm.
