M8 Chemical Agent Detection Paper

Simply detach a sheet of M8 paper from the M8 book and affix to clothing or non-porous, hard surface. There are three sensitive indicator dyes suspended in the paper matrix. When a sheet is brought into contact with liquid Nerve or Blister agents, the agents react with chemicals in the paper to produce agent-specific colour changes. Compare the contact results to determine the type of agent with the colour chart inside the front cover of the booklet. M8 paper may also be used to detect liquid contamination by placing the paper in contact with the suspect surface. M8 does not detect chemical agents in water, aerosols or vapours.
