Concentrated Aircraft Cleaning & Decontamination Detergent
SSDX-12® Aircraft Cleaning / Decontamination Solution
SSDX-12® Aircraft Cleaning / Decontamination Solution
SSDX-12® is a concentrated, water-dilutable detergent certified for use on U.S. military aircraft and used as a heavy-duty Type IV cleaner under MIL-PRF-87937. It’s designed to deliver strong cleaning performance even at high dilutions – helping reduce the cost per use and the logistics burden of shipping and storing low-strength detergents.
Beyond aircraft exteriors, SSDX-12® is also used for facility cleaning in maintenance environments (bays, hangars, hallways and floors). The manufacturer states it is non-hazardous, pH neutral, biodegradable, non-reactive and non-corrosive, with no special applicators required.
Why Teams Choose SSDX-12®
- Certified aircraft cleaning performance – approved under MIL-PRF-87937 Type IV (heavy duty, water dilutable).
- High dilution value – effective cleaning at high dilutions can reduce cost per use.
- Maintenance-facility ready – suited to bays, hangars, hallways and floors in heavy maintenance installations.
- Environmental handling support – manufacturer notes compatibility with industrial wastewater treatment facilities (always confirm site and local requirements).
Typical Applications
- Aircraft exterior and general cleaning (pressure-spray / water-miscible cleaning methods)
- Hangar and maintenance-bay cleaning (floors, walkways, work areas)
- General facility wash-down in aviation environments
- Decontamination cleaning where procedures call for a detergent solution (refer to your SOPs and SDS)
Application Methods
SSDX-12® can be applied by spraying, brushing or foaming.
