Multipurpose Hand‑Held Radiation Monitor and Identifier

PM1401K-3P

An all‑in‑one handheld that combines survey, contamination checks, gamma spectroscopy and radionuclide identification, plus neutron detection and α/β flux‑density measurement. It stores 10,000 events and 1,000 spectra, categorises IDs (IND/MED/NORM/SNM), and logs position via built‑in GPS.

Why teams choose this monitor
  • Do more with one unit: search, dose‑rate, α/β contamination, spectra and nuclide ID.
  • Robust & ready: IP65, –20 °C to +50 °C, ≥ 300 h battery life (2× AA).
  • Flexible libraries: 3 editable libraries (ANSI N42.34 compliant categorisation).
How it works

CsI(Tl) + GM provide dose‑rate and spectra; ⁶LiF/ZnS adds neutron detection. The instrument acquires spectra (1,024 channels), identifies radionuclides, and records α/β flux density and ¹³⁷Cs activity in food/soil when required.

Key specifications
  • Energy ranges: γ search/spectroscopy 25 keV–3 MeV; γ measurement 15 keV–15 MeV; n thermal–14 MeV
  • Dose‑rate: 0.1 µSv/h to 100 mSv/h;
  • Resolution: ≤ 9 % FWHM @ 662 keV
  • α/β flux‑density: 15–10⁵ min⁻¹·cm⁻² (α); 6–10⁵ min⁻¹·cm⁻² (β)
  • ¹³⁷Cs activity: 10²–10⁵ Bq/kg (Bq/L)
  • Size / mass: 262 × 60 × 65 mm, ≤ 820 g; IP65; GPS; USB.
Typical applications

Emergency response, CBRN reconnaissance, border/customs, industrial sites, environmental monitoring and public‑safety investigations.
