Snowbird SAWG 150 Atmospheric Water Generator
The Snowbird SAWG 150 is a high capacity atmospheric water generator for demanding field and expeditionary environments. It produces potable water directly from moisture in the surrounding air while combining water generation, purification, storage and dispensing within one trailer mounted system.
With production of approximately 568 litres of potable water per day, the SAWG 150 supports sustained operations that require greater water capacity. In addition, the system stores 189 litres of treated water internally and dispenses up to 15 litres per minute.
Key benefits
- High capacity water production: Produces approximately 568 litres of potable water per day.
- Water from ambient air: Generates potable water directly from atmospheric moisture and reduces dependence on conventional water sources.
- Integrated water storage: Stores up to 189 litres of treated water internally.
- Fast water dispensing: Delivers treated water at up to 15 litres per minute through two distribution taps.
- Advanced water treatment: Uses two independent filtration systems, two UV C purification chambers and a recirculating ozone treatment system.
- Trailer mounted configuration: Provides a high capacity deployable solution for sustained field operations.
- Integrated rainwater collection: Collects rainwater as an additional source alongside atmospheric water generation.
- Integrated generator: Includes an onboard generator to support system operation.
- Wide operating range: Operates from approximately 7 °C to 51.7 °C.
Typical applications
- Remote and expeditionary operations where conventional water infrastructure is unavailable.
- Sustained field operations requiring higher capacity potable water generation.
- Emergency response operations where existing water supplies are disrupted or difficult to access.
- Temporary operating locations requiring independent water production.
- Locations where atmospheric moisture and rainwater can supplement conventional water supplies.
How atmospheric water generation works
Air intake
First, the SAWG 150 draws ambient air into the system. Moisture within that air then provides the source for potable water production.
Water generation
Next, the system extracts moisture from the incoming air and converts it into collected water for treatment.
Filtration
After that, the system passes the collected water through two independent filtration systems. As a result, the SAWG 150 combines higher water production capacity with an integrated treatment process.
UV C purification
Following filtration, two independent UV C purification chambers provide another water treatment stage.
Ozone treatment
In addition, a recirculating ozone treatment system supports ongoing water treatment within the unit.
Water storage and dispensing
Finally, the system stores treated water in its integrated 189 litre tank. Operators can then dispense water through two distribution taps at up to 15 litres per minute.
High capacity water production
The SAWG 150 produces approximately 568 litres of potable water per day. Therefore, it provides a practical option for sustained field requirements where conventional water infrastructure may be limited or unavailable.
Furthermore, its trailer mounted configuration brings water generation, purification, storage and distribution together within one deployable platform. As a result, operators can establish a potable water capability without relying entirely on an existing water network.
Filtration and water treatment
The SAWG 150 uses several treatment stages to support potable water production from atmospheric moisture. First, two independent filtration systems process the collected water. Next, the water passes through two independent UV C purification chambers.
In addition, a recirculating ozone treatment system provides another treatment stage within the unit. Finally, the system stores the treated water internally until operators require it for distribution.
