Standard Hook and Line Kit

Hook and Line

The Hook & Line Kit provides foundational remote‑handling capability for moving, opening or restraining suspicious objects from a safe distance. It combines rated Kevlar® lines, pulleys, hooks and extension rods with a rugged transport case, a proven baseline for EOD, search and tactical teams worldwide.

Why it matters
  • Remote action, precise control: low‑stretch 5.5 mm Kevlar line on a brake‑equipped reel reduces elasticity and over‑run during pulls.
  • Rated components: pulleys, hooks and lines carry stated minimum breaking strengths and safe working loads for predictable, repeatable rigging.
  • Complete, compact kit: field‑organised case with foam cut‑outs speeds selection and re‑stow.
What’s in the kit
  • Main reel & line: steel‑frame reel with brake and clutch; 120 m of 5.5 mm Kevlar‑core line (min breaking 7.6 kN, SWL 5.0 kN).
  • Pulleys: side‑loading snatch blocks (to 12 mm rope), min breaking 7.0 kN, SWL 4.5 kN.
  • Hooks: small/medium/large, single/double, plain or barbed; examples include small single barbed (SWL 0.30 kN), medium single barbed (SWL 0.70 kN), large single barbed (SWL 1.0 kN).
  • Rigging aids: extension rods & collars, eyes, pulling handles, belt slings and auxiliary/anchor lines.
  • Case: rigid polypropylene transport case; empty mass ≈3.5 kg; internal 425 × 284 × 155 mm.
Typical applications
  • Remote door/boot openings, container draws and controlled lifts
  • Line‑of‑sight pulls via redirected mechanical advantage
  • Tethering and restraint of suspect items prior to disruptor shots
