MicroPAPR

Micro Powered Air-Purifying Respirator

microPAPR is a low‑profile, lightweight powered air‑purifying respirator that reduces mask standoff and physical burden while maintaining protection. A smart Breath Rate Response (BRR) mode automatically varies airflow between 25 and 65 L per minute based on the wearer’s breathing; a fixed‑flow mode delivers 50 ± 5 L per minute when a constant rate is preferred. Two onboard CR123 batteries power the unit for 4 hours at 50 L per minute, and the external battery pack extends runtime by an additional 4 hours (supplied with a protective pouch).

Why teams choose microPAPR
  • Low‑profile on the mask: minimal filter standoff for better weapon/optic and visor clearance.
  • Auto or fixed flow: BRR 25–65 L per minute for comfort and battery life, or fixed 50 ± 5 L/min when mandated.
  • Keeps working when power drops: mask still protects in the event of power loss.
  • Plug‑and‑play compatibility: 40 mm threaded canisters, filters, masks/respirators, hoses.
  • Wears well with combat kit: designed to work alongside helmets, body armour, optics, comms and other PPE.
What’s included
  • microPAPR blower (with 2 × CR123 onboard batteries)
  • External battery pack (2 × CR123) with protective pouch
  • 40 mm threaded connections for mask and filter
Key specifications
  • Dimensions: 36 mm (H) × 112 mm (D)
  • Mass: 212 g (with batteries)
  • Operating temperature: –32 °C to +49 °C
  • Runtime: 4 h @ 50 L/per minute (onboard) + 4 h via external pack
  • Flow‑rate modes: BRR 25–65 L per minute; fixed 50 ± 5 L per minute
  • Controls: on/off switch
Typical use cases
  • Long wear in tight quarters where front‑of‑mask clearance matters
  • Range work and optics‑intensive tasks needing minimal bulk
  • Heat‑ and workload‑variable tasks that benefit from BRR comfort
FAQs

What filters/masks does it take?

Any 40 mm threaded canister and compatible mask/respirator.

How long will it run?

Up to 8 hours at 50 L per minute with the external pack; actual time varies with environment, filters and mode.

What happens if power is lost?

The mask remains protective; you can continue breathing through the filter (higher breathing resistance).
